Does it delete files automatically?
No - you always review first. Find Duplicates just prepares the list and can send it to Serato for you to delete.
How does the audio fingerprint work?
Each track gets a fingerprint based on the actual audio. If two tracks sound the same they match - even if one's MP3 and one's WAV, or the filenames differ.
Is it really free?
Scanning is. Unlimited duplicate scans and audio fingerprint matching cost nothing. Automatically replacing duplicates inside your Serato crates and folders is the paid part - £14.99 on its own, or included in MLT Pro along with every other app.
Will it work on a big library?
Yes. It works on libraries of any size - very large scans can take a while, but they'll finish (leave it running overnight for huge collections).
