The big picture

Four changes you'll feel straight away

2.0 isn't just a new coat of paint. The whole suite got faster, safer and easier to use — and gained tools that simply didn't exist before.

Coming soon

Organise My Library Automatically

A brand-new one-click hub, landing in a future beta. Run a free scan, see exactly what's wrong with your library, then let MLT fix it all in the right order — backup, relink, de-dupe, consolidate and tag. The easiest place for anyone to start.

New in 2.0

Works with the new Serato 4

Serato 4 changed the way it stores your library behind the scenes — moving from the old file-based system to a new database. MLT 2.0 understands both, so every tool keeps working whether you're on Serato 3 or the new Serato 4.

Safer

Safer by design

2.0 protects your work: cleaner backups, restores that put tracks back exactly where they came from, and undo options — all while keeping your crates and cue points intact.

Improved

Smarter, more accurate tagging

Tags & Cues 3.0 reads tags straight from your files, fills in blanks, standardises genres and never overwrites a tag that's already correct — so your genres and years are finally trustworthy.

Redesigned

A cleaner, faster app

Every screen was rebuilt with a modern look, smoother motion and quicker load times — plus a built-in guided tour so new users know exactly what each tool does.

Tool by tool

What changed in every tool

Everything below is in the 2.0 release. Each tool kept what you rely on and gained new capabilities on top.

Organise My Library

Coming soon

Not sure where to start? Run one free scan and MLT shows you exactly what's wrong, then fixes it in the right order.

The friendliest way into the whole suite — built for DJs who know their library's a mess but don't want to think about the steps. Landing in a future beta.

Coming soon
  • Brand-new one-click "Organise" hub — didn't exist in Version 1
  • Free diagnostic scan that grades your library before you commit
  • Guided, correct-order cleanup: backup → relink → de-dupe → consolidate → tag
  • Fill-in-blank-artists and junk-genre cleanup steps

Missing Tracks

Free

Finds tracks Serato shows with an orange "!" and relinks them to the real file on your drives.

The problem: a file moved or got renamed and Serato lost it. MLT hunts it down and reconnects it.

New in 2.0
  • Faster search across your drives
  • New scope to search the external drive your library lives on, auto-selected when connected
  • Smarter ranking — picks the copy closest to the original location
  • Serato backup folders used only as a last resort, so you get real files first

Add New Music

Free

Drop in new downloads and MLT files them into your main music folder and adds them to Serato automatically.

No more manual dragging into the right folder and re-importing.

New in 2.0
  • Rebuilt as its own dedicated page with a review screen before anything's committed
  • Handles all taggable formats (MP3, M4A/MP4, FLAC & WAV), not just MP3
  • Optional metadata clean-up on the way in
  • Faster — reuses a single metadata scan instead of re-reading every file

Backup

Pro

Backs up your entire Serato library — music, crates and cue points — to another drive or USB.

One drive failure shouldn't cost you years of work.

New in 2.0
  • Back up to any external drive or USB in a couple of clicks
  • Option to keep your existing folder structure exactly as it is
  • Simpler destination-first flow that auto-decides full vs update

Restore

Free

Rebuilds your whole Serato library from an MLT backup on any computer — crates and cues intact.

New laptop or a crash? You're back up in minutes.

New in 2.0
  • Puts tracks back in their original folder layout — no more nested duplicated folders
  • Cleaner cross-computer restores

Switch

Pro

Moves your whole library into one tidy central location and rewrites Serato's database as it goes.

Nothing breaks, no cues lost.

New in 2.0
  • Consolidates files scattered across folders into one central location
  • Clearer safety checks before it moves anything
  • Now includes Misplaced Tracks for tidying files that drifted out of place

iTunes Migration

Pro

Moves your tracks out of iTunes/Music into clean folders and keeps Serato pointing at the right files.

Leave iTunes behind without breaking Serato.

New in 2.0
  • Much faster — reads all playlists in one pass instead of one at a time
  • Redesigned, clearer step-by-step flow with a pre-flight summary
  • Surfaced a Revert option to undo a migration

Find Duplicates

Free to try

Fingerprints the actual audio (not just filenames) to find true duplicates, then swaps copies in your crates for one keeper.

Years of re-downloading, finally cleaned up.

New in 2.0
  • Rebuilt interface with a dedicated resolution panel
  • Collects matches into a single "Duplicates" crate you can review before removing anything
  • Audio-recognition engine installs on demand — no bloated download up front

Tags & Cues 3.0

Free to try

Auto-fills accurate Genre & Year across MP3, M4A/MP4, FLAC & WAV — plus cue points for MP3s — using a real music database.

The biggest jump of any tool this release.

New in 3.0
  • Tags and Cues now split into their own dedicated sections
  • Now writes tags to M4A/MP4, FLAC & WAV — not just MP3
  • Reads tags straight from your files for accuracy, not just Serato's database
  • Smarter genre engine — fills blanks, standardises spelling, keeps artists consistent
  • Never overwrites a tag that's already valid
  • Reads sub-genres from WAV / AIFF files for the first time
  • Fills in blank artists from the track title
  • Clear usage panel and a rebuilt audio-recognition flow

CrateMatch

Free to try

Turns a Spotify or Apple Music playlist into a Serato crate using tracks you already own.

Rebuild a playlist in seconds, not hours.

New in 2.0
  • New match → review → "Create crate" flow — no surprise auto-created crates
  • Clearer free vs premium experience
  • Free usage limit applied at create time, so you can preview matches first

Sync

Free to try

Mirrors your crates and cue points from Serato into Rekordbox so both libraries stay in step.

For DJs living in both worlds.

New in 2.0
  • Reads your crates and cue points straight from Serato
  • Serato-first redesigned layout
  • Fixed external-drive libraries showing zero tracks per crate

Riddim

Pro

Recognises and groups your dancehall tracks by riddim in seconds, ready to drop as a set.

The same beat, finally gathered in one place.

New in 2.0
  • Restructured, cleaner interface
  • Fixes for libraries stored on external drives

CrateFind

Free

Drop in a .crate file and MLT finds the matching tracks on your drives and rebuilds a working crate.

Perfect for crates shared between DJs.

New in 2.0
  • Refreshed to match the new look
  • Same fast filename-based rebuild you rely on

CrateView

Free

Hide crates you don't need without deleting them — a clean Serato sidebar, nothing lost.

Declutter without the fear.

New in 2.0
  • Restyled to match the 2.0 look
  • Same safe hide/show, nothing deleted
