One song, every version, in one list.

Pick a song and every version you own is right there: the full track name, Clean or Dirty, length, BPM, how often you've played it, and which crates it's in. Press play on any of them to hear the difference.

MLT Versions showing every version of a song in a Serato library, with Clean and Dirty tags, play counts and crates

What it does

You don't have duplicates. You have ten of the same song.

Duplicate finders look for the same file twice. Versions is for the other problem: the intro edit, the radio edit, the clean and the remix of one track, scattered across your library, all slightly different and all taking up a slot in your crates.

Groups every version of a song

Versions reads the tags in your Serato library and groups tracks by song, so "Candy Shop (Intro Outro) (Dirty)" and "Candy Shop - DJ Serg Remix" land together, without guessing from filenames.

Hear them side by side

Press play on any version right in the list. Compare the intro, the edit and the remix one after another without loading anything into Serato.

Clean, Dirty and intros at a glance

Each version is tagged Clean or Dirty, intro edits are marked, and play counts show which one you actually reach for. Sort by any column to group them.

Tick the ones you don't need

Tick the versions you'd get rid of and they go into a "Versions To Remove" crate in Serato. Nothing is deleted or moved: you remove them yourself in Serato, when you're ready.

How it works

Open it. Listen. Tick what goes.

Three steps from a library full of near-duplicates to a list of what to clear out.

01

Open Versions

It reads your Serato library in seconds and lists every song you own more than one version of, most versions first.

02

Listen and compare

Play each version, check its length, BPM and play count, and see which crates it's in. Copies that look like the same file are flagged.

03

Tick and clear out

Tick the ones you don't need. They go into a Versions To Remove crate, and you delete them in Serato yourself.

FAQs

Before you download.

Straight answers about versions, duplicates, what gets deleted and price.

How is this different from Find Duplicates?
Find Duplicates looks for the same track saved twice. Versions is for different edits of the same song: the intro edit, the clean, the remix. They're different files, so a duplicate finder won't group them, but they're often the ones cluttering your crates.
Does it delete anything?
No. Versions never deletes or moves a track. The versions you tick go into a crate called Versions To Remove in Serato, and you delete them yourself from there, whenever you're ready.
How does it know two tracks are the same song?
It uses the artist and title from your Serato library, with the version wording (remix, intro, clean, dirty and so on) taken out. Tracks with no artist are left out rather than guessed at, so unrelated songs with the same name aren't lumped together.
Is it really free?
Yes. Versions is one of the free tools inside Music Library Tools - download the app and use it, no payment and no subscription.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. Versions works on macOS, including Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and on Windows. It's built for Serato.
